Transportation is a key element of the raw materials supply chain - but it is also one of the biggest sources of emissions worldwide. We are therefore working hard to make our logistics more sustainable. Our strategy is clear: wherever possible, we rely on rail instead of road, promote combined transport and cooperate with shipping companies that use energy-efficient ships and certified, safe tankers.

Each transport route is evaluated in terms of its environmental impact. We optimize loading volumes, avoid empty runs and support the switch to low-emission drives and alternative fuels. The life cycle of raw materials must not end with their use. That is why we actively integrate recycling and reprocessing processes into our business model. In cooperation with certified recycling companies and recyclers, we extend the useful life of raw materials and reduce the need for new subsidies.
