Transparency and compliance

Integrity as the basis of our actions

At GCG, transparency and compliance are not just legal obligations - they are the basis for trust. In a global industry such as commodities trading, credibility is crucial. That is why we are guided by the highest standards of integrity and traceability - both internally and externally.

We pursue a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, misconduct and breaches of the rules.

Transparency is not only reflected in our reports, but also in our daily decisions, partnerships and structures.

Responsible corporate governance

Our compliance structures are based on clear responsibilities and an effective system of corporate governance. From the Management Board to the operational teams, compliance with legal requirements and internal guidelines is firmly embedded in our business processes.

We rely on transparent decision-making processes, regular training and a strong internal control system. Our Code of Conduct, our ESG principles and our compliance guidelines form the backbone for legally compliant, ethical conduct at all levels.

Global supply chain - uniform standards

Our responsibility does not end at the boundaries of our company. Our suppliers, subcontractors and partners must also adhere to our ethical and legal standards.

Every new business relationship undergoes careful onboarding with a risk analysis and ESG review. Contracts contain binding clauses on environmental protection, human rights, working conditions and the prevention of corruption. Regular audits and external reviews ensure compliance with these standards.

Anti-corruption and ethical business conduct

Our actions are strictly aligned with international anti-corruption laws, such as the UK Bribery Act and the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Our company-wide anti-corruption program prohibits any form of bribery, granting of advantages or undue influence - in both the public and private sectors.

We promote an active speak-up culture. Employees can report possible violations via internal and anonymous whistleblower systems - without fear of retaliation. Every report is investigated independently and confidentially.

Open reporting and dialog

For us, transparency also means reporting openly on our progress, challenges and measures. In addition to financial and legal information, we regularly publish ESG reports and sustainability reports that document our objectives, key figures and developments.

We maintain an active exchange with investors, authorities, NGOs and other stakeholders - because trust is built through openness, dialog and reliable data.

Digitization and data security

Transparency needs technology. We rely on digital tools for real-time monitoring of compliance processes, automated documentation and data-secure reporting. Our systems enable traceability in the supply chain, minimize sources of error and increase audit compliance.

Data protection and information security have top priority - taking into account GDPR, cyber security guidelines and the ethical handling of AI-based analyses.

Protection and accountability of whistleblowers

To promote a culture of accountability, we provide employees and stakeholders with safe and anonymous channels to report unethical behavior. Our Whistleblower Protection Policy protects individuals who raise concerns about misconduct, fraud or non-compliance from retaliation. Reports are treated confidentially and thoroughly investigated to ensure the highest ethical standards in our company. Through active governance and oversight, we ensure that compliance violations are addressed promptly and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.

Transparency as a strategic principle

For us, compliance is not just a control function - it is an integral part of our corporate strategy. In an increasingly regulated and demanding world, we see transparency as a competitive advantage and a prerequisite for sustainable growth.

Whether for customer projects, partner contracts or corporate decisions - our claim is clear: act responsibly, document comprehensibly and communicate credibly.
